Rule 31
Work, Duties and Rights of the Committee
: The work, duties and rights of the Committee shall be as follows:-
(a) To provide necessary suggestions and advice to the Government of Nepal, the Provincial Government and the local level to make the necessary legal and policy arrangements for the strengthening and development of the Juvenile Justice System,
(b) To request the University, Government of Nepal, Provincial Government and local level to include the subject of child rights and juvenile justice in the curriculum of universities, schools and educational institutions of Nepal,
(c) To guide and coordinate and cooperate according to the needs regarding the programs to be done by the national and international organizations working in Nepal in the field of child abuse and juvenile justice,
(d). In order to carry out the administration of juvenile justice quickly and effectively, to inform the governmental and non-governmental persons and organizations working in the agencies involved in the field of juvenile justice about the new approaches and programs developed in the context of juvenile justice, to conduct capacity building programs, [e|) Agencies involved in the administration of juvenile justice Or taking actions related to supervision and management related to the level of services and works performed by the official,
(f) To monitor, supervise and give appropriate instructions to District Juvenile Justice Committee, Juvenile Correctional Home or other bodies working in the field of Juvenile Justice, (g) Conducting necessary studies, researches and books, resource materials, journals etc. Publishing,
(h) Conducting various training and awareness programs related to child rights and child justice (j) Providing necessary suggestions or recommendations to relevant agencies for solving problems related to juvenile justice administration. (k) Giving necessary instructions for the effective implementation of the Act.
